Finished to an exceptional standard- as you’d expect from anything that bears the PRS moniker, this P22 features a beautifully figured maple top over a mahogany body, delivering that familiar PRS balance of warmth, clarity, and sustain. The natural finish allows the full beauty of the timber to shine through, and yet still feels more understated than some of PRS' brighter finish colours. The flame maple neck is a medium-light C, and offers a familiar, comfortable and full feel without ever being cumbersome. The fretboard is emblazoned with a custom sword inlay in a beautiful mother of pearl, a tasteful departure from standard PRS bird inlays, and giving this instrument a unique identity that sets it apart at a glance.
Electronically, the P22 is designed for maximum flexibility. The pairing of PRS humbuckers with the under bridge piezo system allows seamless transitions between rich, full-bodied electric tones and convincing acoustic-style textures, all controlled via the 5-way pickup selector and adjacent mini-toggle.
